Brief:

Create a meeting space within an existing area of the client’s building, that had previously served as warehousing, where buyers could interact with the sales team whilst surrounded by merchandised products in a retail-like environment. Enabling DKB to demonstrate to buyers the full range of products under their umbrella, illustrating best practice in terms of displaying the packaging and signage which represents the marketing strategy behind each product as a range and as an overall brand.

Solution:

Within the showroom by using a combination of metalwork in a powdercoat finish, sandblasted glazed dividers, glazed shelving and more traditional timber effect slatwall, we were able to display the products as required by simple retail methods. We produce a well lit conceptual environment that reflected the design-led approach taken by the client in developing new products and the ranges of existing products.

The showroom was completed in early 2003 and six years on is still going strong. It is in almost continuous use for meetings, the demonstration of planograms for retail and exhibition purposes, the launch of new products and ranges and general internal functions. The modern, almost futuristic design, has meant that, with minimal upkeep, DKB have a flexible space that continues to justify the initial spend year after year and in which deals are signed, contracts delivered and the ranges developed to ensure that sales go from strength to strength.
